The DesignJet 500 Plus is HP's best-selling large format printer in recent years. It can print up to A0+ format and is ideal for use in studios that produce technical CAD drawings and for freelancers working in the design sector. The photographic quality is excellent thanks to a resolution of up to 1200 x 600 dpi and HP multilayer technology. There is a USB port and a parallel port for direct connection to the computer but it can also be connected to a network using an HP Jetdirect network card that can be purchased separately. This plotter prints in four colors and uses separate cartridges (black, cyan, magenta and yellow) with pigment ink and as many long-lasting print heads that come with 304 nozzles each. On the front panel there is an LCD display with 5 buttons for immediate management of print jobs.
